My next exhibition, Material Memory, opens on August 15 at the Tweed Regional Gallery & Margaret Olley Art Centre in Murwillumbah, NSW.
I’ve been busy in the studio developing and refining the pieces for the exhibition and thought I’d share some details and sneak peak pics with you.
I’ll share more over the coming weeks as the exhibition date approaches!
About Material Memory
In Material Memory, found objects – equestrian saddles, leather baseball gloves, heavy duty canvas and fluorescent acrylic - are deconstructed, folded, formed and rearranged to evoke emotion, memory, surprise & delight.
These pieces explore how materials hold meaning—not just through the stories we attach to them, but through the traces of the past they carry.
Viewers will be encouraged to reflect on what feels familiar, what sparks joy or nostalgia, and to experience something unexpected in the ordinary.
It’s a celebration of memory made visible, in forms that are playful and profound.
