Coopers "Forever Original" Campaign

March 25, 2025

Just as my solo exhibition Direction Forward comes to a close, I’m excited to share another project that’s been 6 months in the making but that I can only reveal now.

Late last year I was invited by creative agency, Glue Society, to create an original artwork for an advertising campaign for Coopers, Australia's largest, independent, family-owned brewery. The campaign was launched a couple of weeks ago and I’m excited to be able to show you the finished result!

The campaign, called "Forever Original", brought together 200 artists, each commissioned to create a single original artwork to showcase Coopers' dedication to being different and authentic.

The brief was very open and encouraged creativity…with only one rule: to incorporate a glass of beer in the centre of the piece. The Coopers’ logo and the tagline “Forever Original” was then overlaid with the title of the work and the artist’s signature in the bottom right corner.

The campaign spans multiple platforms, including billboards, bus shelters, airports, rail stations, digital placements, social media, cinema, and film.

My work “Shades of Yellow” uses reclaimed timber blocks in gold and amber tones to form an abstract three-dimensional landscape which features a schooner of beer cut through the timber in the centre of the work.

Designed to work in one of three billboard formats, my artwork was ultimately selected to appear on a large-format “supersite” digital billboard above Burns Bay Road in Hunters Hill, Sydney.

Measuring 12.7 metres long x 3.6 metres high it’s definitely my largest artwork to date!

THANK YOU to Coopers & Glue Society for inviting me to participate in the campaign and for supporting Australian artists and creatives! And a special thanks to Helen Psychogios at Glue Society who co-ordinated with all the artists and was a pleasure to work with throughout the process.
