Vintage timber trays, cloth book covers

This assemblage brings together timber joinery element including in-trays, cutlery boxes, vintage signage holders, and an architectural drawing case—objects sourced over more than a decade from locations across the Northern Rivers. The cloth bound book covers were selected for their muted tones and rich textures.

Each element has been carefully arranged to balance form, tone, and negative space. The construction is meticulous, with all joins and edges precisely concealed to maintain a clean visual field. Clothbound book covers are folded and wrapped around panels, creating a tactile surface that rewards close inspection. The overall effect is quiet and resolved, transforming discarded materials into a composed and contemporary object.
