This series of brightly coloured acrylic planes draws on the simple act of folding a piece of paper into a plane and launching it into the air. The form is familiar, playful, and tied to childhood memories—making things by hand, testing how far they’ll fly, watching them arc and drift before they return to the ground.
Made from rigid acrylic, these planes hold that memory in a new, lasting form. Their stillness contrasts with the motion they suggest. The shape captures a moment of lift, of momentum, and of gentle decline—mirroring the way memories rise, hover, and slowly fade over time.
Though minimal in construction, the works are precise and deliberate. Edges are sharp, folds are exact, and colour plays a quiet role in evoking feeling. Each piece invites reflection on the simplicity of early experiences, and the way small gestures and objects can hold meaning long after the moment has passed.
