Reclaimed timber trays, cloth bound book covers

Strata is an assemblage of reclaimed timber trays and cloth bound book covers, collected from tip shops, op shops and refuse centres across the Northern Rivers of NSW. Seen in cross-section, the work layers deep reds, yellows and earth tones — the geology of a place, compressed and held. Like all works in this series, the objects that make the piece are themselves the landscape they evoke.
